About the Position:
Responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the District’s Educational Program, including developing and monitoring the K-12 curriculum, supervising the building principals, monitoring instructional staff and student performance and implementing a fiscally sound budget. Actively promotes the District’s Comprehensive Plan as well as the Vision and Mission with students, staff and the community. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree or equivalent training and experience; five years of educational experience. About the Position:
Appointment on/about Winter/Spring 2018.  The school district currently serves over 1700 students with an operating budget of approximately $34 million.  We desire an accomplished leader with proven success in raising student achievement and a commitment to providing a dynamic 21st century learning environment where all students, including those with diverse socio-economic backgrounds, can achieve their full potential.  Successful candidate will be a strong leader with communication style that promotes close cooperation between parents, teachers, other school district staff and the community in a collaborative environment.  Must be: skilled in selecting, motivating and evaluating highly qualified staff with the ability to delegate responsibility with focus on team building and effectiveness; knowledgeable on educational trends, research and innovative practices; experienced in school finance, budgeting, and cost-effectiveness strategies while maximizing human and financial resources (construction experience preferred).
