About the Position: 
Full-Time, 12 Month, Act 93 Position Located in the District Office; Competitive Salary and Benefits. The Curriculum Supervisor works under the immediate supervision of the Director of Curriculum. The Supervisor is expected to perform a variety of complex administrative duties involved in the operations of the School District in accordance with the highest professional standards of ethics and performance. The Supervisor serves as the educational leader responsible for managing policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students experience the highest quality teaching and learning in an environment that reflects the approved curricula and mission of the District. The Supervisor is responsible for providing instructional and administrative leadership by collaborating with all other School District staff members and participating in the development and supervision of educational programs and goals, meeting with parents, supporting teachers and students, and allocating financial resources appropriately. Responsibilities include curriculum development, designing and facilitating professional development for all. The Supervisor is the School District's representative to the community regarding all content and programs which s/he supervises. Qualifications: Pennsylvania Certification in Curriculum and Instruction PK-12 or Principal Certificate PK-12 with secondary certification required. At least five (5) years of experience as an administrator, math instructional coach or secondary content specialist. Advance degree in Mathematics education preferred. Solid understanding of the expectations of the PA Core Standards for Mathematics and Standards for Mathematical Practice. Experience with integration of emerging technologies in the classroom Understanding of core principles in STEAM education ranging from scientific knowledge, mathematical reasoning, and engineering design, to computational thinking. About the Position:
Accountable for providing proactive legal advice and representation to the Allegheny Intermediate Unit (AIU) with regard to all its operations, including matters such as labor relations, employment issues, contract and policy generation, and for interpreting and advancing legislative policy that impacts the AIU and its constituents. Additionally, this role is tasked with planning and delivering high-value communications efforts supporting the strategic priorities of the AIU. This role will oversee the AIU’s news and publications channels, media relations, public relations, crisis and emergency response, social media, and leadership communications strategy. A Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, public relations, communications, English or a related field is required; Must also have Juris Doctorate and an active law license from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field; Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a practicing attorney to include experience working with and/or for a government agency, non-profit business and/or school district or institution of higher education. Candidates should also have had experience working with and supervising outside counsel as needed. Trial experience would be beneficial, although not required. Beginning January 2018.  Below are some of the credentials that the next executive director should possess: advanced degree in education, special education or an advanced degree in business, finance, management counseling, psychology or related field required (doctorate degree is preferred); ten years’ experience in multiple areas of administration/education, including any combination of blind/visually impaired instruction, elementary, middle or secondary school instruction, and experience in central office administration preferred; knowledge of K-12 curriculum, instruction, and assessment, school organization and management, school district policy, and Pennsylvania school law; demonstrated record of successful leadership in the execution of programs, strategies, and initiatives; ability to analyze programs for cost effectiveness and quality; demonstrated ability to create and implement new programs and ideas commensurate with organizational needs.
